Because "Happy International Day Against Fascism and Antisemitism to you..." doesn't fit well into a song:

Today is, in fact, the internationally observed day to commemorate the pogrom against the Jews, started by Nazis on November 9, 1938.

Today is also Cambodia's Independence Day. Happy 53rd, Cambodia!

Apparently, so many important events in German history (like the fall of the Berlin Wall) occurred on this day, that it has been dubbed "Schicksalstag" (Day of Fate), or in the United States it's called World Freedom Day.

In Europe they are celebrating Inventor's Day. What a cool idea! The day is in honor of hot actress/inventor Hedy Lamarr, who co-invented the first form of spread spectrum, a key to modern wireless communication.

Nick Lachey was born on November 9, for those who care...

...and 24 years ago so was I. Happy Birthday to Me.
